There's A Pitch-In This Sunday

We will be having a pitch-in following the morning worship this coming Sunday. It begins at 11:45 so that some folks can go home and get their food. Remember that we will not have access to the kitchen to cook or reheat food.

Following the food we will have a brief presentation by the Finance Team and an update from the leadership.

Ladies' Bible Study

Ladies don't miss out on the Beth Moore's study of Daniel. The study course runs from January 10th to April 14th with a two week break in the middle.

Study groups meet: Wed - 1230-230pm, Thu - 7-9pm, Sat - 9-11am

The 659 Club

WHEN: The first Saturday of each month at 659am
WHERE: Upstairs at Chamber's Restaurant

April 7th is the next meeting of the Men's 659 Club. The morning starts out with breakfast (dutch treat). We have reserved the upstairs dining area at the restaurant.

After breakfast Bill presents short lessons on topics that concern men. The meeting is wrapped up promptly by 800am.

The 659 Club is open to all men and to sons (mature enough to appreciate the subject matter).

THIS IS NOT JUST FOR OVCF MEMBERS!! Feel free to invite friends and nieghbors.

Don't Miss "40 Days to a New Beginning"

"40 Days to a New Beginning" is a concentrated, focused period of 40 days (Feb.28-April 8) during which the person will commit to prayer (and if possibly some type of fasting). Jeremiah 29: 11-14 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek Me and find me. When you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord." (ESV)

The goal for "40 Days" is to discover:
A New Hope- Jer.29:11
A New Church- Jer.29:12
A New You- Jer.29: 13-14


What will you pray for?
Sunday- Church Unity & Gathering to Worship
Monday- Your Family
Tuesday-People Without Christ
Wednesday- Missions we support
Thursday- The Church Family (praying for each family over the 40 days)
Friday- Our Young People
Saturday- College students


Some will be fasting. There are all kinds of options (certain foods, TV, caffeine, pop, tobacco, etc.) If you choose to fast then allow God to "reveal" what He has in mind for you.

WANTED: Peanut Butter

Help support the peanut butter drive for Lifeline Christian Mission. Any size jars are accepted. Smooth peanut butter is requested. Jars may be dropped off at the church office or at the sports complex on Sunday mornings.

OVCF's New Finance Committee

Its members are Gene Pashley, MaryJo Ramsay, Bonnie Riddle, David Samick, Lova Standeford and Danay'e Taylor.

The committees first order of business will be re-evaluating our budget for 2007 and working on our building lease. Please keep the members in prayer.
